Boomers find lifelong learning

Classroom learning is an option more baby boomers are taking advantage of for job advancement, entertainment, or simply personal growth and satisfaction.

“Teaching adults is like teaching kids, except adults can be more stubborn. If they’re there to learn, as a teacher I don’t see much of a difference in it,” Stern said. “Younger students tend to have a shorter attention span. In this particular class, people come because they want to do some of their own electrical work in their house. Some people might work in maintenance and want to get more knowledge.”
